How do I vote? Where do I go? Can I vote by mail?
In Florida, you have the option to vote in person or by mail. Here’s what you need to know:
Voting in Person

Find your polling place by visiting Florida Voter Precinct Lookup
Polling places are open on Election Day from 7 AM to 7 PM. Anyone in line by 7 PM will still be allowed to vote.

You need to bring a photo ID, such as: Florida driver’s license, Florida ID card issued by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, U.S. passport, Debit or credit card, Military ID, Student ID, Retirement center ID, Neighborhood association ID, Public assistance ID, Veteran health ID issued by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Concealed weapon license, Federal, state, county, or municipal employee ID.
If your ID does not have a signature, you’ll need additional identification with a signature.
If you don’t have proper identification, you can vote using a provisional ballot. The Supervisor of Elections will verify your signature before counting the ballot.

1. Stand in line to enter the polling site.
2. Sign in and have your ID checked.
3. Receive your voting ballot.
4. Proceed to a voting area with dividers to fill out your ballot.
5. Insert your ballot into a machine that scans and records your vote.

Florida law requires language assistance and translation in Spanish. For additional language services, contact your county Supervisor of Elections

Early voting is available for elections involving state or federal offices. For other races, including early voting may be offered at the discretion of the county Supervisor of Elections.
Early voting starts 10 days before the election and ends 3 days before. Some counties may extend early voting to additional days.

Each county’s Supervisor of Electionswill provide early voting days, times, and locations at least 30 days before the election.
Voting by Mail

Any registered voter in Florida can vote by mail; no excuse is required.

Contact your county Supervisor of Elections in person, by phone, mail, email, or fax.
Include the following information in your request:
Your full name
Your date of birth
Your address
Your signature

Requests must be received by 5 PM, 12 days before the election.

Ballots are mailed approximately 5 weeks before the election. Requests received with less than 5 weeks’ notice will be processed within 7 days.

Your completed ballot must be mailed or delivered to your county Supervisor of Elections by 7 PM on Election Day.

Yes, but the voter should turn in the vote-by-mail ballot to the polling/voting site. If the voter does not have the vote-by-mail ballot, the Supervisor of Elections will need to confirm that the vote-by-mail ballot has not been received. The voting ballot completed at the voting site will be sealed and not counted until confirmation is received. Voters can track their provisional ballot by selecting their county link.

Your ballot will arrive with instructions, a paper ballot, an envelope, and a secrecy sleeve.
Use a black pen to fill in the ovals completely for your choices.
Fold the completed ballot and place it inside the secrecy sleeve.
Put the secrecy sleeve into the envelope and fill out the information on the back (remember to sign and date in the red box).
Mail the envelope or deliver it to the office of your Supervisor of Elections. If mailed, no postage/stamp is needed.
